Who is your teacher?

 

I’m Lenny Hernandez, SAG-AFTRA member, and I will help actors get to where they want to be in their career, BUT faster! Originally from the Springfield area I grew up doing shows at Landers, taking classes with Beth Doman, performing at the Vandivort Theatre (before it was a hotel) to eventually graduating with my BFA in Theatre Performance from Missouri State  University.  In 2010 I moved to Los Angeles knowing very little about the business side of being an  actor. Slowly, I was able to figure out what sites I needed to be on, what classes to take  that worked for me, and how to present myself along the way.

In 2021, I was a very busy ACTOR. I had over 50 auditions. Crazy, right? What’s crazier  is that ALL of them were SELF-TAPE auditions. I didn’t leave my home auditioning until I BOOKED gigs! (Which was several. 2 Pilots, Jay Leno’s new show, Warped! on Nickelodeon, a National spot, and I even decided to Self-Fund / Produce/ Cast & star in my first short film…all in 2021. To top it all off, I started officially offering up COACHING to other up and coming ACTORS because I understand that the only way to  further your craft as an actor is to be continually grower. I know what it takes to be a  working actor.  

So, what will this class provide? First off, a safe space for you to reignite and flex your Actor muscles. It’s very true what they say… “if you don’t use it, you lose it!” Period.  Get yourself back into a class and get those creative juices flowing again. Specifically, we will help you find your “TYPE,” we will work that type, with SCENE work and  MONOLOGUE work and at the end of the 7 weeks you will have a saved, recorded audition to use on your casting websites.
